The prices shown are the same for the whole season?
The prices shown are the minimum prices of the whole season for rental periods over 3 days and vary depending on your rental period. From June - September, the price per day is higher.
Is there a minimum rental period?
The minimum rental period is 3 days for the reservations on this site. If you are interested for one or two day rentals, you need to contact us directly via WhatsApp, phone or email. Short rental periods are possbile only in the area of Koutsounari.
Will Drivers Club Pick Me Up?
Yes, our free pick-up service is available in the area of Koutsounari within 8 klms and during normal business hours. To schedule your pick up time or make additional arrangements, please call your local rental office directly. Once picked up and back at the office, a rental representative will complete your paper work. After 5 minutes you are ready to go.
Please note:
Our rental office are happy to pick you up and drop you off at your place, but they do not deliver vehicles.
Due to security regulations, our non-airport rental locations cannot pick you up or drop you off at an airport. Instead, your rental car will be parked at the airport and the keys will be placed in a secured place.
Can you guarantee the pick-up?
In order to guarantee a pick-up time, you must confirm your rental with the office at least one day before your rental starts.
Pick-ups are done by the first non-airport location within 8 klms of your location - as long as the nearest branch is able to pick you up.
Due to no-shows, our local rental office can only schedule confirmed pickups.
Can I Rent a Car at 18?
You have to be minimum 24 years old in order to rent a car with our rental agency.Maximum age is 70 years old for all groups.
What is your driving license policy?
A valid driving license held for at least one year is required from the driver. National Driving Licenses issued in EU, US, UK, Australia, Canada, Israel, Russia, Ukraine are accepted. An International Driving License is required in all other cases.
Can I use a digital driver's licence/ID when hiring a vehicle?
Digital licenses/IDs/ Passports, sceenshots and photos of the license/IDs/Passports, are not acceptable. All drivers need to carry their physical documents.
What forms of payment are accepted for renting a car?
At the meantime we dont accept online payments. All bookings are competed offline after confirmation from Drivers Club. To secure your booking, we require a downpayment of your total rental cost. The remaining balance will be paid upon collection of the vehicle by credit/debit card or cash.
What is the reservation procedure?
Simply fill in the booking form and follow the steps. Only completed forms will be considered for approval to reserve a vehicle. Soon you will be notified by e-mail or via WhatsApp regarding your booking and the final steps of finalizing the deal.
Do I need to provide arrival flight information?
For all airport collections, we ask that you provide us with the correct flight number and arrival time when booking your vehicle. This is to ensure that if your flight is delayed your vehicle will be held and staff will be in place to greet you when you arrive. If this information is not available to you at the time of booking, we ask you provide us with it at least 7 days before your arrival date. If we do not receive this information in time, we cannot take responsibility for a failed rental.
What is your fuel policy?
The renter has to return the vehicle with the same level of fuel as delivered. Vehicles delivered out of office hours have enough fuel to drive you anywhere in the island. More fuel at the reservoir is not refunded.
What is your cancellation policy?
Partial Prepaid Bookings: The customer has the right to cancel their reservation up to 4 days before the vehicle pick up for free. In this case the costumer will be refunded the amount he has prepaid(customers get charged only with the bank expenses, around 4€). In case the customer wants to cancel a reservation of less than 4 days before the arrival, the company will not refund the payment.
Fully Prepaid Bookings: The customer has the right to cancel their reservation up to 4 days before the vehicle pick up for free. In this case the costumer will be refunded the amount he has prepaid with a charge of 4 euros bank expenses. In case the customer wants to cancel a reservation in less than 4 days before the pick up, the company will charge the 30% and return the rest of the amount.
In case the customer is interested in changing his original reservation, they should contact the company to consider the charge that will be added.
Also if the customer does not present the necessary documents(valid driving licence/ID/passport), the company has the right to cancel the reservation and not refund.

What happens in case of flight delays?
As we monitor the flights status in advance, our staff is always informed and they will wait to deliver your car. Furthermore there are no additional charges for flight delays.
What documents do I need when I pick up the car?
A valid driving license held for at least one and a half years is required from the driver plus a valid passport or ID card.
Do you deliver car rental services anywhere in Crete?
Drivers Club Rent a Car, delivers and collects cars in the regions of Lasithi and Heraklion.
Can I Extend My Car Rental?
Please contact the renting location directly. The phone number for the location can be found at the top of your rental contract. If the office is closed, please call back the next business day.
Please note:
At this time, the only way to extend your rental is to call us. Your rates are subject to change based on the length of your rental extension. Usually the longer you keep the vehicle, the better deal you'll receive.
Can i pay for the rental of a car for another individual?
The renter of the vehicle must be present to sign the rental agreement and provide their documents and card at the time of pick up. The renter cannot provide a card belonging to someone else for their use.
If you wish to pay for the rental car, but have someone else drive it, you can rent the vehicle in your name and add them as an additional driver. In order to add an additional driver, they would have to meet all of our additional driver requirements.
Can You Return a Rental Car Early?
At Drivers Club, we do not charge customers more for returning a car early.No refund is possbile for the lost days. If the location is closed when you try to return the vehicle or you are trying to return the vehicle to a different location, the following policy will apply:
If you want to return a vehicle when the renting location is closed, you must check with them when picking up your vehicle to determine if an "after hours" service drop box is available. Doing so will help you avoid additional charges.
Please Note: A vehicle that is returned after hours will not be checked in until the next business day. If returning after hours when a location is closed, the customer is responsible for the vehicle until the satisfactory check in of the rental vehicle the next business day.
Will There Be an Additional Charge If I am Late Returning the Rental Car?
If extension is possible, there is a Grace Period of one (1) hour (i.e first hour delay in return is not charged) provided that our company is notified and has given permission. Next 3 hours are charged at €10 per hour. Over 3 hours delay, one day rate will be charged. Please note that a customer is not allowed to bring the car later than the agreed return time without having taken permission (having extended the rental) from our company since there is not any insurance coverage after the return time of the car.
Drivers Club Car Rental is Pet Friendly
Pets are allowed in rental vehicles. Customers need to keep pets crated and return their rental car in clean condition and free of pet hair to avoid cleaning/detailing fees. Service animals used by customers with disabilities are allowed in the vehicle without a carrier.
What is a car rental drop charge?
A drop charge is a fee for picking up a rental car at one location and returning it to a different location. The rental car drop fee varies depending on location and time of year. Dropping the car withing the area of Koutsounari, Ierapetra, Ferma is free of charge.
How much is a rental car?
The cost of a rental car depends on many factors and can vary greatly. These factors include:

How Do I Rent a Car?
To rent a car from Drivers Club do the following:
Visit our vehicle selection page, choose the location you want to pick up/return your vehicle from the droplist, pick your departure date and return date. Then select any extra items and press "Submit booking". One of representatives will review your booking and confirm or not your booking.

What should I do if I get in an accident in a rental car?
If you are in an accident, your safety is most important. Please call 100 or call the local authorities for assistance and file a police report. Then call us, on the mobile number, located on the upper right corner of your rental agreement, to report the incident after authorities have been engaged. They will file a damage report and set up tow services for the damaged vehicle if it is no longer drivable.
What is the Drivers Club car rental scratch policy?
Minor damage to a rental car, such as scratches, dents, or a chipped windshield are covered by the Full Damage Waiver as long as you drive by the rules and none of the terms and conditions of the rental agreement is violated. Your personal auto insurance may or may not cover the cost of repairs, so it is best to contact your insurance provider before renting a car.
What should I do if my rental car breaks down?
If your rental car breaks down due to a mechanical failure and it is not drivable, be sure to get to a safe place out of traffic. Then, call us on the mobile number, located on the upper right corner of your rental agreement and they will help you with the towing process.
What is an International Driving Permit?
An International Driving Permit (IDP) translates your government-issued driver’s license into 10 languages: English, French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, German, Arabic, Italian, Swedish and Portuguese.
